After crossing the medieval bridge, over the River Cavado, you will reach Barcelos, one of the great landmarks of this tour. The town, in addition to its rich architecture, has one of the most famous legends on the Camino Portugues and that gave rise to the colourful porcelain rooster that you will find in many souvenir shops in the country.

The tour is quite long and has continuous slopes, but the numerous villages that you will find on your path will compensate you for the effort. The day ends in the monumental town of Ponte de Lima, after crossing the Roman bridge that gives the town its name.

The tour ends in San Pedro de Rubiaes, a quiet hamlet with scattered houses where you will find some sights, such as the parish church and the Solar das Antas.

From there, crossing the Tui International Bridge, over the River Mino, you will leave Portugal to enter Galicia, the lands of Santiago the Apostle. The tour ends in Tui, an ancient medieval city.
