Camino de Santiago from Ferrol

The Camino de Santiago from Ferrol is the route known as the Camino Ingles. It is an ideal tour for all those who have a few days and want to make a complete tour on the Camino de Santiago.

The Camino Ingles begins in Ferrol, a town formerly reached by British pilgrims to begin their pilgrimage. Hence the name of the route.

This route allows you to explore the rural north of Galicia, enjoying landscapes of intense green colour.  Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit emblematic villages such as Pontedeume or the medieval town of Betanzos.

The Camino Ingles ends at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, where the remains of Santiago the Apostle are guarded. Once you have recovered from the intense and emotional moments that are experienced when you arrive at the Cathedral, you can request the Compostela, the official certificate from the Pilgrim’s Office that accredits your pilgrimage.

The Camino de Santiago from Ferrol meets the two necessary requirements to apply for the Compostela: complete at least 100 km on foot and finish the tour in front of the Cathedral of Santiago.
